Chennai, Aug 20: With a view to reduce dropouts and commute
easily, the Adani Foundation today distributed a total of 133 bicycles
to tenth standard students of Thiruvellaivoyal government school and
in villages surrounding Adani Kattupalli Port.

The cycles were distributed in the presence of Ravi, Chairman, Minjur
Panchayat Union, Rohit HR, Head, Adani Port, Kattupalli, Venkatesan,
DGM, HR, Adani Port, T S Muthu, Thirvellaivoyal, Deputy Inspector,
District Education Department, V G Gopi, President, Voyalur Panchayat
and Jesuraj, CSR, Adani Foundation

The Adani Foundation has planned to distribute a total of 476 bicycles
to 10th standard government school students in the surrounding villages
of Kattupalli, Pulicat, Kottai Kuppam, Thangal Perumbulam, Kattur,
Voyalur, Thiruvellaivoyal, AR Palayam and Neithavoyal panchayats.
The primary objective of this initiative is to reduce the number of
school dropouts in these panchayats and also enable students to
commute and access their schools with ease, while focussing
on their studies.

For the past three years, the Adani Foundation has been distributing
bicycles to the 9th and 10thstandard students in government schools
around the port area.
